| No. LOL. What this guy did was stupid, and I don't recommend anybody else doing it. "The Towel Trick", as this moron calls it, tells you to wrap your system in a few towels for 10-15 minutes and then let it cool down. I couldn't think of anything dumber to do to your Xbox. If your 360 malfunctions like this, simply head on over to www.xbox.com/support. Microsoft will take care of your Xbox for you (free of charge I understand??) and return it. Tough luck if you have to wait 2, 3 or 5 weeks for it to come back, at least you're not out $400 you'd have to pay for a new system if "The Towel Trick" fails (which it probably will)!! I say, if Microsoft wants to repair the system free of charge, then send it in!!! If you try this towel thing and it doesn't work and then send it to Microsoft, they'll see that you tried it, and will return it to you unrepaired. THIS VOIDS YOUR SYSTEM'S WARRANTY.I realize it might work for some systems, but how many (intelligent) people really want to take that chance?? And I figure it can't be much more than a quick-fix kind of "cure". Sure, you're melting any wires back together, but an Xbox 360 wrapped in a towel will get very very hot. Many other system components can get damaged in the process. My reaction to this article: this dude is a moron. | I'm not a risk taker, not when I'm taking that risk with a $450 game console _________________ Games I Want

| I don't think I'll have any trouble with this xbox. I've already had to send it in after my remote control car fell on it -_- . That was before I had XBL though. So I've had my fair share of the xbox breaking. No more for me, I hope! |

| It isn't that bad though having your Xbox taken away. Fine, it is! But there's still other stuff to do. And if you're desperate to play a game you can game on the PSP or the DS XD |

| There are people who play xbox 24/7 and I'm sure this would affect their lives tremendously...I love my xbox and playing video games, but I have a life too. I work 40+ hours most weeks. I spend time with my girlfriend, my family, and can always find other things around the house to do. Read a book, do dishes, clean the house a little, hang with friends, even catch a little TV. If my xbox went down with this dreaded flu bug, I'd send it to MS and I'd have no problem waiting the month to get it back in fixed condition. I'd get the itch to play, but its not life. For me. _________________ Games I Want

| You inherit a few more responsibilities when you have your own place, video games do not always come first for me anymore _________________ Games I Want

| Yeah. I always have alternatives... I always draw (I'm an aspiring artist lol) and I get on the cpu. Hang with friends. Go to school. Play sports. I constantly keep myself busy because although I love video games to death. They are the biggest waste of time on the planet. When my xbox was gone, I found a huge gap in my life that I filled with more important things and now I'm not such a.......gamer* lol.... |
